Inca Trail Authorization

In Chapter II, articles 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of the regulation for the tourist use of the Inca Trail network of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, the annual authorizations for travel agencies to operate on the Inca Trail are regulated. Machupicchu Terra, respecting the regulations of our country, met the qualification requirements established in the Tourist Use Regulation.

Machupicchu Terra complied with submitting the required documents to the relevant entities (SERNANP, DIRCETUR, Regional Directorate of Culture), as well as providing documentation certifying that it had no administrative sanctions for violations against Natural and Cultural Heritage or the use of the Inca Trail.

Then, once the management of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu authenticated the submitted documentation, Machupicchu Terra obtained its annual authorization to operate on the Inca Trail and any excursion throughout Peru.

The Protected Natural Areas Service SERNANP granted us the operating permit for the Inca Trail Machu Picchu on January 15, 2015, with code “CI578“.

Machupicchu Terra Certification

We are a reputable agency that complies with all the regulations established by the authorities regulating the proper operation of travel agencies.
Machupicchu Terra has the corresponding permits for tour operations and the sale of tourism services. The operating license is granted by the Municipality of Cusco, and the certificate of being a Travel Agency and Tour Operator is issued by the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism, also known as DIRCETUR.
