Pick up and from Cusco to Mollepata

  • The tour to the Humantay lagoon begins at approximately 4 am with the pick-up of each tourist at the door of their hotel in the historic center of Cusco.
  • Aboard a comfortable minivan, the trip takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to the town of Mollepata.

Breakfast and trip to Soraypampa

  • In Mollepata we stop for approximately 1 hour to have a buffet breakfast in a local family restaurant.
  • Breakfast includes breads, coffee, juices, jam, yogurt, cereals, fruits and more.
  • After breakfast, we continue with a 1-hour trip in tourist transport to the town of Sorayapampa.

Hike to Humantay Lagoon

  • In Mollepata the final walk to the Humantay lagoon begins.
  • This route is 2 kilometers long on ascending paths that takes 1 hour 30 minutes on average.
  • Optionally (not included in the tour) you can request a horse from a local resident who will take you to the lagoon.

Free time at the Humantay lagoon

  • Once at the Humantay lagoon we will have time to get the best photos of this splendid natural landscape.
  • The visit to the lagoon will be in the company of our professional tour guide. In some cases the guide performs a ceremony of gratitude to the mountains.

Return to Soraypampa and trip to Mollepata

  • The return from the Humantay lagoon to Soraypampa is on foot along the same route up (walk of approximately 1 hour 10 minutes).
  • In Soraypampa we will board the tourist transport for the return trip to the town of Mollepata.

Lunch and return to Cusco

  • In Mollepata we will stop for 1 hour for lunch. Lunch is buffet style and offers salads, hot soups, stewed meats, rice, pasta, sauces, hot infusions, etc.
